HHE Parent’s Meeting
Nov. 6, 2003
Baptist Bible College, Jackson Hall, Room 229

This month we have a special guest who will use a computer to take us to the Pennsylvania POWER Library website (Pennsylvania Online World of Electronic Resources), and will show us how the resources there can benefit our home schools.  This is available to all Pennsylvania residents who have a public library card in any Pennsylvania county.  Come and learn what's available to you and your students - for free! Submit questions ahead of time so our panel can prepare at hcross1@juno.com.

Home School Basketball

The PA Home School Basketball Association (PAHBA) formed 4 teams in western PA this year.  Boys and girls teams, grades 4 to 8 or 8 to 12, focus on execution as well as character.  Visit their website at www.pahba.org or call Darien Small at 724/548.1300.  PAHBA is hoping to expand into eastern PA.  Please pass the word.

E-MAIL CURRICULUM SALE CHANGES

Starting in November, the curriculum sale will be posted on Harmony Home Educators' website.  Members may submit by e-mail the items they would like to sell or purchase. These items will be cut and pasted into a list which will be posted on the website and then updated regularly as updates are sent in.
This method has several advantages.  A member needs only to submit items for sale one time.  Items will remain on the list until the member e-mails a request to have them removed because they have been sold.  The list may be accessed at any time, so when a member wishes to purchase an item, it will be easy to go to the HHE website to see if it's possible to purchase used from a fellow member first.
To submit items for the curriculum sale, please e-mail Sharon Gardoski with your list, which should include your name and either your e-mail address or phone number, as well as pertinent information regarding the item, like the title, publisher, edition, condition, and price of the items you are selling or those you wish to purchase.

Please send e-mails by November 15 to kgardoski@cs.com.  I will always send a brief reply to let you know I received it.  If your e-mail to me is rejected for some reason, please try sending to sgardoski@hotmail.com. Please write CURRICULUM SALE in the subject line.  As your items are sold or you would like to add to your list, simply send another e-mail with what to remove or add to your list.  The list which is posted on the website will usually be updated once a week.
